A popular Bible verse about Matrimony is
Genesis 2:24 - “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”
Again, Jesus himself talked about divorce
Matthew 19:3-6 “Some Pharisees came to him and to test him. They asked, “It is lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”“
I don’t understand the concept of divorces for even in the scripture it is not “Godly”. We are destroy the very essence God made us to be. For we are lonely as man and thus God created a “helper”, “companion” to be part of our life. The divorce rates in America is rampant and the sacred and Holy meaning of Matrimony has become watered down. It is because that we, as a new “one flesh”, could not fight through the tough times that we bail out?
Proverbs 24:10 - “If you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength”
I wonder what will happen to this once Heavenly word “Marriage” in the future.

I decided to go to our Church’s Praise and Worship for the Youth on Friday Night called, JAM (Jesus and Me). The Theme of the event was Love since Valentines Day was only 3 days away. We sang happily and loudly to softly and peacefully. We had tons of prayers and we also split the kids into boys and girls. Jennifer Dinh lead the girls while Bao Loi and I lead the boy. I gave my little stories and bible verses passionately and Bao gave his insights of the relationships he been through. Bao said it real good that true love is what is left over after the passion is gone. He actually quoted from St. Augustine. Then right after the little discussion/session a boy who is still in high school, he was not of my students, came up to me and asked me a few questions.
He asked me, “You mention about the Bible verse that describe love (He meant 1 Corinthians 13:4-7). That just seems so hard especially that we are humans and perfect. How can God wants us to do something that he know we can’t do.” After I gave him a little explanation, then he told me about his background and how he wanted to come back and serve the Church through maybe teaching again and what not but he didn’t feel comfortable doing so because of his back ground. The fact that he feared the judgmental mindsets people have within the Church. Then I lead him to the Bible verse 1 John 4:13-21.
“This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.”
Basically I said to him, if you love so much on wanting to change the kids lives and serving our Lord Jesus Christ, then you should not have fear about what people think about you.
